At Ignite Life, we support young people and families by providing holistic care tailored to individual needs.
Ignite focuses on relieving the needs of disadvantaged and/or marginalised young people through supporting with wellbeing and mental health, educational support, food poverty, family support, access to sport and other life changing opportunities and addressing economic inequalities.
Mentoring provides 1:1 support to help build nurturing relationships, self-esteem and help young people to thrive. Our mentors provide life changing experiences while supporting with education and socialisation.
Our counselling offers 1:1 sessions for young people and family support counselling. We provide a safe and accessible space for young people to overcome adversity and learn a tool kit to manage future challenges.
Our food services provide food and essential items to families in food poverty. We deliver weekly food parcels and have a food bank in Staple Hill. We also provide supported volunteer opportunities for young people.
By choosing Ignite to support for your fundraising challenges, you are supporting the young people and families who often go unheard and overlooked.
Your generous donations, big or small, make a huge difference on the lives of many. Just £20 provides two families with food for a week.
Volunteering your time helps us reach more members of our community, whether that’s 2 hours or a full day, in our food bank or supporting with social media.
Ignite is working towards long-term change and campaigning will help us achieve this. With your help we can raise awareness and make a greater difference.

Ignite has two different types of counselling services, 1:1 counselling for young people and family support counselling. Our 1:1 counselling for young people is adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of each young person. We follow a person-centred approach and use play therapy, art therapy and talk therapy. We aim to create an accessible space which removes any of the intimidation that 1:1 counselling can bring, therefore, we encourage young people to take part in activities that they enjoy while having their counselling, such as cooking, crafts and games.
Our family support counselling allows a 1-2 family members to access counselling support with their young person while engaging in positive and meaningful experiences such as cooking and crafts.
If you are supporting a young person or family who would benefit from our counselling services, find out more here or get in contact with us.
Our food support services help families in food poverty by helping them to access food and essential items such as toiletries, sanitary products, and cleaning products. Ignite delivers weekly food parcels and opened a food bank in August 2022. Our food bank does not require a referral or vouchers, we aim to be accessible to all. All people need to do is come during our opening hours, meet with a volunteer and they will be supported with a shop.
