Community Fundraising in 2025: Pub Quiz, Family Fun Day and more...
This year at Ignite, we have worked hard to host community fundraising events and raise awareness of our services across Bristol and the wider area. Read on to find out more about the different types of events we have hosted!
Pub Quiz

In March, we hosted our very first pub quiz at the Beehive Pub in Filton. We would like to say a big thank you to the team at the Beehive for putting on such an amazing quiz and supporting us in raising £800! We hosted a raffle alongside this, which included some amazing prizes such as paintballing tickets, a Bristol Beer Factory beer crate, a Turtle Bay voucher, and a Wiper and True brewery tour. It was great to raise awareness of our services in a different area of the city.
Family Movie Screening
In April, during the Easter holidays, we hosted a family movie screening of Luca at Page Community Hall. We provided popcorn, refreshments and colouring to all of the children that attended. It was lovely to see families come together to enjoy a free activity during the holidays and enjoy a Disney classic.

Family Fun Day
In May, we hosted our annual Fun Day at Page Park in Staple Hill. Last year’s event was such a success and we were excited to bring back a lot of our vendors from last year to be here again. We had jewellery, crafts, face-painting, hair braiding, fairground rides, and a range of delicious food vendors.
We were blown away by the level of support we received: from our sponsors, volunteers, young people and everyone who attended. We managed to raise a total of just over £5,000, beating last year's total of £4,000. This will make an enormous difference for the delivery of our mentoring, counselling and no-referral-needed food bank.

Our corporate volunteers came from Burges Salmon, Resource Futures, Jisc and Hays Recruitment - they supported the putting together and taking down of the day, running the stalls and stewarding visitors. Thank you to our amazing team of volunteers for ensuring that the day ran so smoothly!

We would like to say a big thank you to our young people who played a big role in the design and delivery of the day, and making the day so amazing. Our young people ran various stalls such as the Teddy Tombola, our Raffle, Penalty Shoot-out, and Balloon Darts, which supported us in raising money for Ignite's services.

We had a full line-up of free and accessible entertainment for families to enjoy. This included Johnny G Children’s Entertainer, Red X Dance School, Yoga with Corina and live music with Gavin. We had big crowds for all of our entertainers and it was great to see so many children and families enjoying the performances.
We would like to say an enormous thank you to all of our local sponsors for making the day happen:

The Window Hub and Roadworthy who had fantastic stalls throughout the day, promoting the services that they offer.

Finally, we would like to thank all of the local businesses who donated such amazing raffle prizes. These included vouchers from Noah's Ark Zoo Farm, Fed, the Forge and Fern, Bristol Ferry Boats, Everyman Cinema, Dyrham Park, Avon Valley Adventure Park, The Wave, Wookey Hole, Bristol Beer Factory and more! We really hope that all of the winners will enjoy their prizes.
In the second half of 2025, we hope to continue putting on community fundraising events - please watch this space and our social media for more information!
